Deluxe Corporation Foundation awards $490,000 to SCORE 

The Deluxe Corporation Foundation awarded a $490,000 grant to The SCORE Foundation to benefit SCORE for the development of a standard mentoring methodology. The purpose of the project is to increase small business survival rates and create jobs.
 
SCORE volunteers will be trained in the new methodology that will include new mentoring practices and tools. The aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners who make up SCORE clients will further benefit from the project's new curriculum and homework templates.

SCORE is a national nonprofit that has helped more than 8.4 million aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners through counseling and workshops. SCORE clients complete steps that eventually lead to a business plan to predict the potential success of a business. More than 11,000 business counselors serve as SCORE volunteers through one of its 370 chapters.
